Today in Japan, most of the major acupuncture researching groups on traditional acupuncture, and many acupuncture practitioners who are trying to study and promote traditional acupuncture, joined our society, the Japan Traditional Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society (JTAMS).

So, the JTAMS plays a role as a community where the acupuncturists who want to study traditional acupuncture can learn the skills and exchange the Knowledge each other.

In 1997, the 25th JTAMS congress was held in Tokyo in co-operation with the Japan Society of Acupuncture with the theme "Tradition & Science, staring at the human body".

in 1998, the 27th congress was held in Beppu city, Kyushu. The theme was "For the establishment of the acupuncture pathology".

In 1999, the 27th congress was held in Utatsu, Shikoku, with unique theme "moxibustion".

And the 28th congress will be held at Edogawa Kumin Hall in Edogawa, Tokyo, in October.

I hope many people who have an interest on traditional acupuncture gather to this congress and make it a fruitful one.
